How far is The Place from the Pier?Approximately 10 minutes by taxi. Free transport will be provided for you on arrival and departure and you will be given a pay-as-you-go phone at check-in with our taxi number pre-programmed.
How far is The Place from the beach?About a 10 minute walk or 3 minute motorbike ride
What mode of transport can I use on Koh Tao?The most common mode of transport on Koh Tao is motorbike. We can recommend reputable hire shops for anything from mopeds to ATVs. Most people prefer to walk or use Mr Bear, our taxi driver, with his discounted rates.
Are all of the villas private?Yes. We have specifically designed each villa to be totally private.
How many villas are there?5.
How big are the villas?The interior of each villa is 48 sqm with at least a further 36 sqm of outside decking
How many people can be accommodated in each villa?The villas are designed for 2 people sharing a king-sized bed.
Is there a safe in each villa?Yes
Is there internet connection in every villa?Yes. We have a fast ADSL connection.
What type of plug sockets are in the villas?Most of the plug sockets in the villas are universal and we also have adapters should they be needed
Are children allowed?Unfortunately, we do not allow children under the age of 15
Do all of the villas have their own pool?Yes.
How big are the pools in the villas?The Pools are at least 4m x 2m, 1.3m deep and have a seat and sunbathe level built-in
What in-house entertainment is there?Each villa has a media box which has over 2,500 movies, TV series, documentaries and comedy shows stored. There is also a DVD player and some boardgames.
Is there a restaurant at The Place?We do not currently have our own restaurant. Many good restaurants are a few minutes drive away and we have a range of takeaway menus, where breaakfast, lunch and dinner can be ordered if you don’t want to leave your villa. Each villa also has a kitchenette and we provide a complimentary welcome hamper for stays of three days or more.
Are towels provided?Yes both bathroom towels and pool towels are provided
Is shampoo and conditioner and soap provided?Yes. We also provide shower gel and body lotion.
Is there a dress code at The Place?No. You can wear whatever you want at The Place but ladies are respectfully asked to wear a sarong over their bikini when walking in town.
What languages are spoken by the staff at The Place?English, German and Thai but we can arrange for a translator in many other languages if needed.
What time is check out?10.00am
What time is check in?2pm. The afternoon boats from Koh Samui and the mainland arrive at about 2.30pm.
What activities does Koh Tao offer?Anything from scuba diving to trapeze classes to mini golf.
What water sports are available on Koh Tao?Wakeboarding, kayaking and catamaran sailing are the main ones
Is there a dive school on the island?Many. More divers are certified on Koh Tao than anywhere else in South East Asia. We can arrange any courses or fun dives for you.
Is snorkelling equipment provided at The Place?Yes. We have a selection of masks and snorkels available for guests.
Can we have a massage at The Place?Absolutely. We can arrange for any type of massage – from Thai to Aroma to Aloe Vera.
Is it possible to get married on Koh Tao?Yes. We can help with this.
What type of credit cards are accepted at The Place?Unfortunately, we don't currently accept credit cards but there are ATM machines nearby. We do accept Paypal.
What currencies are accepted at The Place?We only accept Thai baht but there are many places to change money
How can I book a pool Villa at The Place?Just go to our "Reservation" page, where you can immediately check availability and make a booking.
